Sunpower inks deals worth RMB116.1m with Xinhua Semiconductor, Sinopec
It will supply reduction furnaces and piping support.
Sunpower Group has snapped up two contracts with a combined worth of RMB116.1m (roughly $24.36) from Xinhua Semiconductor and Sinopec.
According to the energy solutions provider, the first contract was inked through its subsidiary Sunpower Pressure Vessels with Jiangsu Zhongneng’s subsidiary Xinhua Semiconductor.
Worth RMB97.6m ($20.48m), the contract is for Sunpower to construct to supply Xinhua Semiconductor 34 reduction furnaces for semiconductor-grade polysilicon project. It is slated for delivery this year.
The second contract was secured through Sunpower’s subsidiary Sunpower Technology from Sinopec to supply piping support to Zhongtian Hechuang Erdos Coal Deep Processing Demonstration Project in Inner Mongolia Province, one of the largest coal olefins projects in the world.
The deal with Sinopec is worth RMB18.5 ($3.88m), and is also expected to be delivered in 2016.
Sunpower reports it expects these contract wins to positively impact its FY16 financial results.
