SVOLT, a Chinese power battery maker carved out of Great Wall Motor, on Feb. 16 broke ground on the 2nd phase of its battery production base in Shangrao, Jiangxi province. The facility is designed to have an annual production capacity of 20GWh.

SGMW recalls over 600,000 Wuling Hongguang S3s, new Wuling Hongguang Ss

According to the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), SAIC-GM-Wuling has decided to recall 609,779 Wuling Hongguang S3s and new Wuling Hongguang Ss produced between July 10, 2017 and March 26, 2021. The recall plan will be implemented from March 10, 2022.

Foton Motor sets up engine subsidiary

XPeng builds sales service subsidiary in Shanghai

According to Tianyancha, Shanghai Pengxu Automobile Sales Service Co., Ltd. was incorporated on Feb. 15 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiaopeng Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. Its business scope extends to cover the sale of NEV battery swapping facilities and the recycling and cascade utilization of decommissioned NEV batteries.
